MCA amends Rule 14 of Companies (Appointment & Qualification of Directors) Rules, 2014
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) on January 20, 2023 inline with the Migration of forms from its V2 Portal to V3 Portal, issued the Companies (Appointment and Qualification of Directors) Amendment Rules, 2023 (Rule) which is effective from January 23, 2023 amending the Rule 14 of the Companies (Appointment and Qualification of Directors) Rules, 2014

Further, new sub-rule (1A) was inserted which is produced below: Whenever a company receives the information in form DIR-8, the Company shall within thirty days of such receipt file form DIR-9 with the Registrar of Company. MCA also amends existing Forms DIR-3, DIR-3C, DIR-5, DIR-6, DIR-8, DIR-9, DIR-10, DIR11 and DIR-12.
